Quote of the Day:

"She believed she could, so she did." - R.S. Grey

This quote is all about the power of self-belief and determination. It emphasizes the idea that when a woman truly believes in herself and her abilities, she can achieve anything she sets her mind to. It's a reminder to have faith in yourself and to trust that you have the strength and ability to make your dreams a reality.

On March 22nd, 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signs the Beer and Wine Revenue Act, which effectively ends Prohibition in the United States.

Things to Celebrate on March 22nd:

  1. World Water Day: This day is celebrated annually to raise awareness about the importance of freshwater and advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.

  2. National Bavarian Crepes Day: Bavarian crepes are a delicious German dessert that are made with sweet, fruit-filled crepes and a rich, creamy filling. Celebrate this day by trying out a new Bavarian crepe recipe or indulging in a sweet treat from a local bakery.

  3. National Goof Off Day: This day is all about taking a break from the stress and demands of everyday life and embracing your inner child by goofing off and having fun. Take a break from work or responsibilities and do something fun and silly with your friends or family.

  4. National Puppy Day: This day celebrates the unconditional love and joy that puppies bring to our lives. If you have a furry friend, show them some extra love and affection today. If not, consider adopting a puppy or donating to a local animal shelter to help support puppies in need.

  5. National Education and Sharing Day: This day is observed annually to highlight the importance of education and encourage individuals to share their knowledge and expertise with others. Take the time to learn something new today or share your skills and expertise with someone who could benefit from them.

Story of the Day:

In Jacksonville, Florida, a group of high school students banded together to help their friend, Javion, get a new wheelchair-accessible van.

Javion, who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair, was in need of a new van after his old one broke down and could no longer be repaired.

The students, who are part of a leadership program at their high school, started a fundraising campaign to help Javion get a new van.

They held a car wash, a bake sale, and a GoFundMe page to raise money, and even reached out to local businesses for support.

Their hard work paid off - they raised enough money to purchase Javion a brand new, wheelchair-accessible van.

When Javion received the van, he was overcome with emotion and gratitude. He said that the students' kindness and generosity had restored his faith in humanity.

This heartwarming story shows the power of community and the positive impact that a group of determined individuals can have on someone's life.

It's a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the world.

The Positive Impact Challenge:

Try and do one of the following this week:

  • Send someone at your place of work, church, or friend group a nice email of appreciation, acknowledging some of the hard work they have been doing.

  • See if you can help volunteer your time or pledge money to a good local organization that you care about.

  • Try and support small businesses whenever you are purchasing something new.

Good Luck!
