Story of the Day:
Cyclists Band Together In the Middle of a Race to Save a Dog’s Life.
A group of cyclists in Italy stumbled upon a stray dog who had been hit by a car and left for dead. The dog was badly injured, with a broken leg and pelvis, and was in excruciating pain.
Despite being in the middle of a long bike race, the cyclists stopped to help the dog. They wrapped him in a blanket and carefully carried him to the nearest town, where they found a veterinarian who was willing to treat the dog for free.
The dog, who was later named Cicio, underwent surgery to repair his injuries and was given a temporary home with one of the cyclists, who had fallen in love with him. As Cicio recovered, the cyclist made arrangements to bring him back to his home in the Netherlands.
After several months of rehabilitation, Cicio made a full recovery and was adopted by his new owner. He now lives a happy life filled with love, attention, and plenty of outdoor adventures.
This story is a great example of how a simple act of kindness can make a huge difference in the life of an animal in need. It's also a reminder that, even in the midst of a busy race or a hectic day, we can always take a moment to show compassion and help those who are less fortunate.
The Positive Impact Challenge:
Try and do one of the following this week:
Send someone at your place of work, church, or friend group a nice email of appreciation, acknowledging some of the hard work they have been doing.
See if you can help volunteer your time or pledge money to a good local organization that you care about.
Try and support small businesses whenever you are purchasing something new.
Good Luck!
